Tom is a regenerative farmer, educator and systems thinker with a hands-on background in mixed farming, composting and soil ecology. He has worked across a range of agricultural settings, from organic dairies to heritage estates, most notably as Farm Manager at Althorp Estate, where he led the 4,000-acre organic conversion and established large scale composting and regenerative practices on farm.
Tom’s work is shaped by a passion for study and field experience. He is a graduate of Nicole Masters’ CREATE programme, Dr Elaine Ingham’s Soil Food Web School and the Lübke certification in humus and land management. His focus areas include soil biology, composting (aerobic, anaerobic and vermicast), plant health, livestock management, crop foliar nutrition, and agroecological systems design.
He recognises that no two farms or farmers are the same. Tom takes a practical, adaptive approach, working with farmers and growers to develop solutions that suit their land, goals, and resources. He is passionate about building resilient agricultural ecosystems and supporting land stewards in developing greater self-reliance through ecological management.
